Fixed Braces
Fixed braces are a common orthodontic solution for correcting misaligned teeth, known as malocclusion. Conditions such as crowding, spacing, crossbite, overjet, deep bite, and open bite can increase the risk of gum disease, tooth decay, and jaw problems. Fixed braces, often referred to as "train tracks," are attached to the teeth and cannot be removed during treatment. They consist of brackets bonded to each tooth and connected by wires, which apply gentle pressure to move teeth into their desired positions. This method allows for precise adjustments to achieve optimal alignment and function.
Adult Braces
Many adults choose to straighten their teeth, as misalignment can worsen over time. Treatment options for adults are similar to those for adolescents, though achieving results may take longer. Alternative options like clear aligners are available for those concerned about the appearance of fixed braces. We invite you to explore these options with us during a smile assessment appointment.
